Description
HunterBond
Every bond counts. Every adventure leaves a story.
Meet the hunters in your world, uncover what lies beneath their first impression, and build relationships that stay with you—both in and out of combat.
HunterBond expands the *Solo Leveling* and *Hunter Society* experience through conversations, friendships, rivalries, romance, and adventure partnerships—all facilitated by a phone that keeps you connected to them.
Your choices, the moments you share, and how you treat each hunter shape your relationship. You might find a trusted companion, a confidant, a romantic partner, or even a rival who pushes you to surpass your own limits.
Thirteen personalities to discover
Every hunter reacts in their own unique way. Some value discipline, while others might prefer a joke, a quiet conversation, or a more assertive approach.
You will encounter a wide range of personalities: arrogant, cautious, cheerful, cold, disciplined, greedy, impulsive, playful, kind, lazy, mysterious, shy, and *tsundere*.
Their character influences your very first encounter—even if you don’t realize it yet. Pay close attention to their responses to learn what they like, what makes them uncomfortable, and how they prefer to be approached.
As you uncover their personality, their interface evolves to reflect their character, featuring distinct colors, emblems, and animated details.
Talk: Conversations that build relationships
Explore **87 branching conversation topics** covering daily life, training, adventures, friendship, and personal feelings.
Discuss minor blunders, habits, food, memories, difficult decisions, and combat experiences. As your relationship grows, you’ll gain access to more personal subjects, such as their fears, secrets, and romance.
Initial conversations vary based on each hunter’s personality. The system also prioritizes topics you haven’t explored yet, ensuring you can continue to discover new facets of each character. Your responses matter: offering support, giving advice, issuing a challenge, or withdrawing—each leads to a different reaction. A response that displeases a hunter will not result in a significant boost to your affinity.
Conversations have natural pauses and progression limits. Between chats, you can explore, engage in shared activities, or have experiences that add deeper meaning to your next encounter.
Friends, Confidants, and Rivals
Hearts represent your level of closeness, but the relationship also hinges on trust, respect, familiarity, and tension.
Over time, a hunter may come to view you as a friend, best friend, confidant, comrade, or rival.
A rivalry can emerge once you reach six hearts, provided there is sufficient mutual respect and a prevailing spirit of challenge. Competitive personalities are more inclined toward this type of bond. Reaching the required number of hearts opens the possibility; the way you interact determines the outcome.
Discover what kind of bond forms with each hunter and how your story unfolds.
Gifts and Promises
Learn their preferences and discover gestures that hold personal meaning for them.
Gifts can influence your relationship and create cherished memories. Getting to know a hunter will help you make better choices and understand their reactions.
Once you are close enough, you may also make commitments to one another. Keeping a promise strengthens the bond, while breaking one can damage trust and create tension.
Romance and Shared Memories
Grow closer to someone special, express your feelings, and see if your relationship might blossom into a romance.
Share walks, quiet moments, or evenings spent gazing at the stars. During these dates, you might encounter an unexpected flower, a whispered secret, a hidden fear, or a pivotal decision—all of which allow you to know each other better.
The world remains active even while you are together. If an enemy attacks a hunter during a date, it may trigger a defensive situation linked to that threat.
Shared experiences create memories that you can look back on later. Your story is shaped both by your conversations and by the time you choose to spend with one another.
Spontaneous encounters
Hunters can also take the initiative.
Someone you’ve rescued might approach you to express their gratitude. A companion might want to talk after a battle, ask for your company, or share a concern regarding the squad.
These encounters take into account each individual’s personality, the level of trust between you, and your shared experiences. Some may lead to small, shared activities—like taking a walk together—allowing you to focus on your relationship.
A journal to get to know them better
Check your personal journal to see what you’ve discovered about each hunter.
Review their known preferences, the state of your relationship, your shared adventures, past outings, and significant memories. As your bond of trust grows, you’ll uncover new details about their profile.
The journal also allows you to respond to spontaneous encounters while they are available.
Open it via your smartphone or by pressing the 'J' key.
Hunter Phone: Your Contacts, Always at Hand
Carry a smartphone with a lock screen, various apps, and a dynamic, animated interface.
Unlock your phone to check your contacts, start a conversation, or review pending alerts. Chat bubbles appear smoothly, pre-written responses feature a typing indicator, and certain messages include context-specific icons.
Each contact’s message history is saved, allowing you to revisit past conversations.
The phone includes features like inertial scrolling, gesture-based navigation, and options to reduce animations.
Messages, Calls, and Notifications
Greet your contacts, check in on them, thank them for their help, and keep the lines of communication open using various conversation options.
You may also receive narrative-driven calls. Choose whether to accept, decline, or ignore them. When you answer, a screen will display the call duration, current status, and available response options.
These calls unfold through text and the choices you make.
Notifications take you directly to the relevant conversation or call. Depending on the alert, you can view it, respond, set a reminder for later, or dismiss it.
Access your notifications by pressing the 'U' key.
To request physical assistance, use the support options on your phone. Please note that chat conversations and narrative calls do not automatically summon a hunter or schedule a date.
Assemble Your Squad
Build a team of companions and get them ready for adventure.
Issue commands for them to follow you, hold their position, or move around the area. Use squad commands to coordinate multiple hunters, set up a guard, or initiate a retreat.
Manage their equipment and weapons, and keep an eye on the state of your relationship—trust and tension can influence their willingness to cooperate.
You can also request assistance through your contacts. A hunter’s availability, rank, and the strength of your bond all influence the help they can provide.
Companions who also form bonds
Hunters within the same squad can develop relationships with one another by fighting side by side.
Repeated cooperation can lead to friendship or a respectful rivalry, depending on their individual personalities. Companions who share combat experiences may also gain a brief, additional layer of protection after fighting together.
Your squad develops its own unique history, shaped by the individuals who comprise it and the experiences they share by your side.
Rescues and adrenaline
Helping a companion in danger can be a pivotal moment for your relationship.
HunterBond features scenarios involving incapacitation and rescue, as well as reactions to the loss of allies.
If an ally in your group—or a hunter following you—falls in battle nearby, you may experience a temporary surge of adrenaline, granting you the strength, speed, and stamina to keep fighting.
The stronger the bond, the longer this effect may last. Closer relationships can provide regeneration and amplify these benefits; losing a close partner also intensifies this response.
Nearby allied hunters may react when their companions fall, receiving a combat boost in return.
Guild life and adventures
Organize your companions using guild and squad features, manage funds, and draft recruitment offers with various salary and bonus terms.
Balance group preparation with dungeon adventures, mutual support among companions, and the ongoing development of your relationships. Conversations, equipment, and the organization of the guild are all part of the same experience: getting to know those you will have by your side when danger arrives.
A welcome at the association
The secretary in the evaluation area also has something to say.
They might greet you, guide you through the evaluation process, recall your past visits, and discuss the outcomes of your endeavors. These interactions provide a sense of continuity each time you return to the association, accompanying you throughout your journey as a hunter.
Start with a conversation
Approach a hunter, strike up a conversation, and observe how they respond. Discover their preferences, earn their trust, and unlock new possibilities as your bond grows stronger.
You might just find your best friend—someone to share a night under the stars with—or perhaps a rival who always expects a little bit more from you.
In HunterBond, adventures are also remembered for the people you encounter.
