Mod Introduction
Immersive Combat brings a dual-wielding combat system and immersive battle sound effects to Minecraft. You can equip a sword/axe in your off-hand and use right-click to attack enemies; actions like attacking, jumping, crafting, and more with your main hand also get more realistic sound feedback.

Feature List
1. Dual-Wield Combat System
Offhand Attack: When holding a sword or axe in the offhand, press the right mouse button (default RMB) to attack with the offhand weapon.
Charge Mechanic: Consecutive offhand attacks deal reduced damage. Wait 0.5 seconds (10 ticks) to fully charge and deal full damage; spamming clicks only deals 50% damage.
Jump Slash Bonus: Attacking with the offhand in the air (not on the ground, not in water, not climbing, not riding) deals an extra 50% damage.
Offhand Charge Indicator: A small circular progress bar is displayed next to the hotbar to show the offhand attack charge status.
2. Sound Effects System
Trigger timing: sound effect
Hotkey bar switches to axe weapons, metal axe equipment sound (3 random variants)
Hotkey bar switches to sword weapon metal sword equipment sound (4 random variants)
Main hand/offhand swings sword or axe (hit or missed) Metal swing sound (4 axe types, 7 random sword variants)
Weapon Hit Entities Weapon Hit Sound (10 random variants)
Barehanded or unarmed hits of entities with fists striking sounds
Synthesize items (workbench, 2×2 merging grids, etc.) Synthesize sound effects (5 random variants)
Jump Jump sound effect
Right-click and empty swing of the main weapon, swing sound effect
3. Key binding
Offhand attack: Default is right mouse click. You can modify it in Settings → Control → Immersive Combat category.
Note: If the off-hand is empty or not a weapon (such as food or blocks), right-click will still perform the original actions (placing blocks, eating, etc.). Attacks only trigger when the secondary is holding a sword/axe with the right click.
Weapon Classification
The system automatically recognizes two types of weapons:
Sword (Blade): All items implemented as swords (SwordItem or items with the sword tag #swords)
Axe (Axe): All items implemented as axes (AxeItem or items with the axe tag #axes)
The equip and swing sounds of the two types of weapons are different, but the actual attack mechanics are the same.
Notes:
Server Compatibility: This is a purely server-side mod, so players don’t need to install anything to use dual-wielding and sound effects (though it's recommended that both sides install it to ensure a consistent experience).
Offhand Attacks Don’t Trigger Vanilla Right-Click Functions: When holding a sword or axe in the offhand, right-clicking can’t place blocks or interact with entities (like shearing sheep or feeding animals); all right-clicks are treated as attacks.
Main Hand Can Still Attack Normally: Left-clicking with the main hand works as usual, following the vanilla attack cooldown.
No New Items/Blocks: This mod doesn’t add any new items or blocks, it just enhances combat using the existing ones.
