What is GCR about?

Elements of this mod is assisted by AI tools (ChatGPT/Gemini), specifically research and code assistance. However, coding and development of the mod is primarily handled by the author, Sheridan. This mod does not utilize vibecoding, all art and assets are also exclusively human-made. This notice has been provided because we believe it is important to remain transparent.

Exquisite Modelling：

GCR utilizes the industry standard .gltf format for models, allowing for exquisitely detailed mesh models while still keeping poly count low, providing for an intricate and realistic visual experience at high performance!

Animation & Details：

GCR's powerful first-person animation system offers smooth model animations and camera effects, and also enables the linkage of UI effects.

Weapon Modification：

GCR offers the most advanced modular modification system in a Minecraft firearm mod. You can replace the grip, handguard, and barrel of your firearms, install a wide variety of scopes, grips, and tactical devices, and even adjust the positions of attachments on a rail to accommodate multiple accessories!

Use each accessory to alter the different attributes of your firearm to suit your playstyle, turning a gun into an SMG for close quarters, a trusty assault rifle, or even a DMR to eliminate long range threats.

Immersive GFX：

GCR brings specially designed shader effects to both vanilla Minecraft and Iris Shaders. When shooting, the muzzle flash illuminates the weapon model and surrounding environment, creating an immersive sense of impact and realism!

High Performance：

GCR has completely abandoned the original rendering pipeline of MC and utilizes a custom GPU-optimized renderer, making it compatible with Iris Shaders. Which means there will be no FPS drops when the guns are equipped! This enables Minecraft to easily handle resource-heavy rendering tasks that were previously beyond its capabilities (we have tested all of the mainstream shader packs and they all run normally with GCR). Note! If you are using YSM (Yes Steve Model), please be sure to turn off the rendering of the player puppets at the corners of the screen.
