Description

Just Chisel adds the chisel tool, crafted with a stick and an iron nugget. Use the chisel to turn full blocks into stairs and stairs into slabs! (Marginally better inventory management!)

This pack WILL NOT WORK if added to your world while it's running!

Description

This datapack allows you to right-click any block with a chisel to turn it into a variant of that block. Click faces of full blocks to turn them into stairs, click faces of stairs to turn them into slabs.

Crafting the Chisel

Crafting recipe for the chisel: one stick and an iron nugget diagonally.

Chiseling Full Blocks

Player right clicks the side of a stone brick with the chisel to create stone brick stairs.

Right-clicking any sideways face of a block creates a stair pointed towards the face that was clicked.

Player shift-right clicks the side of a stone brick with the chisel to create upside-down stone brick stairs.

Shift-right-clicking faces creates an upside-down stair.

Player right clicks the top of a stone brick with the chisel to create a stone brick slab.

Right-clicking the top or bottom of a block creates a slab.

Chiseling Stairs

Player right clicks stone brick stairs with the chisel to create a bottom slab.

Right-clicking any face of a stair creates a bottom slab.

Player shift-right clicks stone brick stairs with the chisel to create a bottom slab.

Shift-right-clicking faces creates a top slab.

Double-Clicking Chisel

Since this datapack uses experimental features, a limited amount of data can be stored in the chisel at any given time. To get around this, right-clicking a block that isn't stored in the chisel will update the chisel with new information. Sometimes you need to right-click a block twice to chisel it!
