About
Description
This mod makes two configurable changes to mining.
Stack Sizes
![]()
By default this mod reduces the maximum stack size of most items to 16. Ores and raw materials are reduced to 1. The purpose is to increase item logistical difficulty, and force players to use neglected aspects of the game. Rail lines will need to be constructed to mines to send ore back to your base for processing and storage. Or take advantage of llamas and donkeys to help transport materials.
These sizes can be changed in the configuration file, or other mods' items can be added.
To assist in creating early rail lines, a wooden variety is added. They are cheap, but eventually will break over time, especially in bad weather.
Infinite Ore Deposits
(1.18.x)
![]()
An ore deposit can rarely be found imbedded in ore veins. Don't break it! Craft a hammer block and smash it against the deposit by moving it with a piston. Ores or byproduct blocks will drop on each hit. This feature can be disabled in the config file, or have its rarity changed to make finding them harder.
=============== Previous version below ==================
To offset the difficulty in transporting ores, this mod can add infinite ore deposits to the overworld. They are rare but can be found by looking for ore rich soil on the surface, and then digging below. These deposits will gradually spread ore nearby, and when the core is found, can be mined indefinitely. If this feature is overpowered for your needs, they can be disabled in the configuration file by commenting out the deposit lines with a '#' symbol.
