About

Description

This highly-configurable client-side mod renders beams of light which shine from dropped items. These beam colors depend on the item's rarity by default. Hovering over these loot beams will display the item's name in the air.

Feature List:

  • Items are assigned a colored beam based on their item rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic)
  • Floating nametags display the item's name when hovering over a beam, and can be configured to show stack size ('3x Cobblestone')
  • Legendary Tooltip support - Beam colors depend on 'bg_color' in legendarytooltips.cfg
  • Item Borders support - You can add item beams via 'manual_borders' in itemborders.cfg
  • Optifine/shader support - the Beams and text should render with no issue
  • An extensive config which allows for defining custom colors for individual items, as well as fine-tuning/toggling of rendering and other mod aspects.

Future Plans:

  • Display item tooltips/Legendary Tooltips along with their nametag
  • Some kind of particle system?
  • CraftTweaker integration??

Is this mod compatible with X other mod? What should I do if I run into an issue?

I've tested this mod in a pack of ~300 mods and haven't had any crashes.
If you encounter unexpected behaviors or incompatibilities, please report it to the Github Issues page.

Will you update or backport this mod to my favorite version?
No, but if you would like, you can do it yourself.

Where can I ask for a feature or suggest something?
The Curseforge comment section would be preferred.

Can I include this in my modpack?
Yes! Curseforge mods in a Curseforge pack are always allowed. You can add this to your non-Curseforge modpack, too.
