Description

Magick: Potions and Pearls

Potions

Added 22 potions, (not including splash, long, and strong variants) including potions for most vanilla effects, and 10 new effects.

Changes some of the brewing recipes making all potions brewable and Fermented spider’s eye now works both ways.

The New effects

Gravity – Makes gravity stronger making it very hard to jump and makes flying entities fall to the ground.

Photosynthesis – Regenerate hunger if you're in bright light.

Ore sense – You can hear the presence of nearby ores.

Returning– When the potion expires Affected creatures return to the point they first drank it. They can't return to a different dimension and trying to do so will spawn an Endermite. You can extend the effect by drinking another potion and you'll return to the point you drank the first potion.

Love –  Automatically tame nearby animals, animals affected by this potion will attempt to breed, animals will follow a player affected by this potion.

Fear – causes players to have auditory hallucinations, makes mobs run away in fear.

Spider climb – Climb walls like a spider and move freely through cobwebs.

Ending effect – Ends any active effect.

Immortality – Affected creatures don't take damage for a few seconds.

Luminescence – Affected creatures emit light.

Resonance – Affected creatures activate nearby Redstone devices.

Mana – Pearls you use are more powerful. Generally meaning they have a larger radius, or in the case of the Warp pearl deal more damage.

Opposing effects will cancel out. E.g. if you already have the swiftness effect and drink a slowness potion you'll lose both effects.

Pearls

12 new throwable items similar to Ender pearls, you throw them at a thing and something happens when the pearl hits. Generally some kind of "explosion"

Pearls

Pearl Effects

Air - Pushes nearby creatures away.

Bomb - Makes a small explosion.

Earth - Creates a large ball of dirt and stone.

Ender- You know what this does, it teleports you.

Fire - Creates a ball of fire that melts Ice and Snow, and evaporates water.

Ice - Creates a ball of Powder Snow, also freezes water and turns lava into obsidian.

Light - Creates a small invisible light source.

Lightning - Summons lightning. Only works during storms or if you have the mana effect, but it will activate a lightning rod no matter the weather.

Plant - Applies bonemeal effect to an area (Pre 1.18 Creates a large ball of leaves)

Vacuum - Pulls nearby creatures towards the point of impact.

Warp - Deals Magic damage to anything in a small radius.

Water - Creates a water source.

Web - Creates a large ball of webs. *these webs disappear over time and can't be harvested.

*Pearls are 2X more Powerful when used in The End, this stacks with the Mana effect.

Pieces of pearl can be bought from clerics

Dusts and crafting changes

Dust

Stone, Obsidian, Blackstone, Netherrack, Endstone, Quartz, Diamond, Emerald, and their variants can be cut at a stonecutter into dusts.

Dusts are mainly used in potions but can also be re-crafted into blocks.

Prismarine Blocks can be cut into Prismarine shards, amethyst blocks can be cut into amethyst shards, any Pearl can be cut into Pearl pieces

You can cut diamond tools and armour into dust then re-make that dust into diamonds, you don’t get much dust from this but you get a little so if you have a bunch of diamond horse armour or old items you don't use anymore you can get a bit of that back.

Nether dust can be used as a fuel source, though it burns up quickly.

Crafting changes

Snow can be crafted into Ice, so you can craft 729 Snow Blocks > 81 Ice > 9 Packed Ice> 1 Blue Ice, which you need for the Ice pearl.

Rails, buckets, and most other iron items can be smelted into iron nuggets

Magma blocks can me cut up into 1 blaze powder.

Origins

Origins does not need to be installed for the mod to work, but if you have origins installed the mod adds 8 new origins that use various things from the mod.
