Description
Mekalus is an Unofficial Fork of "Oculus", made to fix Mekanism MekaSuit rendering with shaders.
Oculus is an Unofficial Fork of "Iris", made to work with Forge Mod Loader.
Asek3, the Oculus developer, has released updated versions with fixes. However, I still suggest using this mod, as it:
- Mekanism flamethrowers usage causing crashes, that problem is resolved in this mod.
- Includes fix memory corruption caused by GlyphExtVertexSerializer
- addresses a significant memory leak issue (for 1.19.2). For 1.20.1 issue is also actual but you should use AllTheLeaks (Memory Leak Fix)
I backported a fix from Iris 1.21.1 to Oculus 1.19.2 and made a Pull Request, which has already been merged. The problem is that the author of Oculus, Asek3, is burnt out from modding, so it won't be published for an indefinite amount of time. However, hundreds of thousands of players are continuing to suffer from this problem, so I published this fork as a temporary solution.
Also, for 1.19.2, includes a fix for a major memory leak caused by Oculus breaking something in FlyWheel, leading to an additional 300MB of RAM being added to the heap with every dimension change.
The issue also exists in 1.20.1, but you should use the AllTheLeaks mod, which includes fixes for many memory leaks, including this one.
