About
Description
Every tool, weapon and piece of armour in the world quietly remembers where it has been and who carried it.
Hold one and sneak, and its history walks out in front of you as a line of particles from the spot it was crafted, through every hand it passed through, to the ground under your feet.
Content
Read an item at a glance. The tooltip shows how far it has travelled, how many people have carried it, and how long ago it was made.
White is you. Waypoints you left are white. Every other carrier gets their own stable colour, so a traded item reads as a chain of distinct hands. Landmarks get their own particle: where it was crafted, where someone died with it, where something was buried.
The Soul Follower. A compass and four echo shards. Its needle points at your last death, it survives death in your inventory, and it remembers the exact block you fell on, so the trail you follow back is your own last walk.

Remembrance. A rare level-30 enchantment for anything with durability. It has no effect at all except this: the item comes home with you when you die.

Buried memories. A shovel or pickaxe found in a chest. Sometimes it arrives carrying a dead stranger's walk, and that walk ends where they buried something. Follow it to within 24 blocks and the stash is really there.
Trails are drawn client-side only: you see your own item's history, nobody else on the server does.
