Mineral Dwellers

THIS MOD HAS CEASED DEVELOPMENT (DISCONTINUED)

Mineral Dwellers is a mod that adds, well you guessed it... Mineral Dwellers. These are ore-like mobs that appear in caves and their Nether variants in Nether Wastes. There are even Ore Dictionary variants meaning this is supposed to go with mods that require and / or use Ore Dictionary. Upon death, they will drop their respective minerals and if their variant's ore requires smelting, they will drop chunks (Smelt the chunks to acquire the ingot).

lf you want a version without ore dictionary variants and only vanilla ones, check this mod out by clicking here!

My videos about the mod:

Summoning

Summoning this boss won't be an easy task as it requires a Nether Star and a silk touch pickaxe. Not to mention it gets even harder since it even requires emerald ore.

First of all, you need to obtain a Nether Star. This is done by of course, taking down a Wither.

Once you have a Nether Star, drop it on a Mineral Dweller. This will "enchant" the dweller and give it some new buffs. No, it does NOT work on the Nether variants.

Upon "enchanting" the dweller, it will drop a "Worn-out Nether Star" which are the remains of a Nether Star.

Don't worry, you can repair it with the following crafting recipe:

Enchanted Mineral Dweller

Health: 50 (25 Hearts)

Damage: Melee = 7 (3 and a half Hearts), Pebbles = 4 (2 Hearts)

New Drop: Mineral Nexus

After obtaining the Mineral Nexus, make sure to keep it safe.

Now, obtain an obsidian frame.

This is done by surrounding eight obsidian beams around a crafting table.

To acquire obsidian beams, put two obsidian blocks vertically in a crafting table like how you'd craft sticks.

Now construct an altar like so (5 Obsidian, 4 Cobblestone and 1 Obsidian Frame):

Once you've done that, drop 1 redstone ore, lapis ore, diamond ore, iron ore, gold ore and emerald ore on the obsidian frame and that should fill it up.

Once you've completed all these steps, you are ready to go.

Right-click the filled obsidian frame with a Mineral Nexus and prepare for a difficult fight.

This mod also has its own advancement progression to spice up the fun!
