About

Description

MobMixer randomizes mob spawns and adds a few balance rules around special mobs and drops.

  • Hostile mobs are swapped 100% of the time into another hostile mob from the mod’s generated hostile pool.
  • Passive and neutral-passive mobs have a 25% chance to swap into another mob in their matching pool. It's set to 25% to prevent lag.
  • The swapper skips unsuitable mobs like bats, withers, ender dragons, wardens, persistent mobs, and miscellaneous-category entities.
  • Hive-released bees are protected, so they do not get broken by the swap logic.
  • Blazes created by swapping cannot drop blaze rods.
  • Blaze spawner blazes have a 50% chance to stay as real blazes instead of being swapped. These blazes do drop blaze rods.
  • Evokers created by swapping have their Totem of Undying drops reduced to a 1-in-20 chance.
  • In Minecraft's code, there is a secret mob called the Giant, which doesn't spawn naturally in vanilla Minecraft and has no AI. I decided to include this mob in the swap pool, but I used a scaled normal zombie since the original in Minecraft's code doesn't have AI. If the swap pool picks a giant, the mod now spawns a normal zombie instead, scaled to 6.0 to match giant size.
  • That scaled “giant” zombie gets 100 max health and 10 attack damage.
  • Elder guardian mining fatigue is removed for convenience
