Description
Adding a framework (and redbull for no apparent reason) for domain expansions and a (really annoying) way to add them by using this mod as a library. I am so sorry if you try to use this in any meaningful way.
Domains:
Domains are created by spawning new Domain Entities. Using the of() method before spawning one in changes the variables that it's tied to. e.g.
new DomainEntity().of(size (radius), effect, effectLength, etc)
This Includes Domain Themes for Domains (Clashes cannot have custom sounds unless you make the clash using a Custom Clash Entity)
This means so long as it's spawned correctly, you can pretty much make a Domain Expansion through whatever method (Item, Keybind, etc).
Domain Shaders:
Domain Shaders can be added by using the DomainRenderTypeRegistrationCallback which works like any other callback. Just register the name, TextureShard and ShaderInstance and it should work.
Domain Effects:
Domain Effects are normal Minecraft Mob Effects. You can of course use custom ones as well.
Domain Clashes:
Domain Clashes are pretty buggy at the moment, but should work fine for custom domains. There's not currently a way to change the clash progress bar colour. The Domain Clashes currently have a placeholder theme song that I created myself as I didn't want to use a copywritten song.
Game Rules:
Currently there are only 2 Game Rules for this mod.
- Clash Length controls how long domain clashes last if there's no winner (Default 2400 ticks or 2 minutes).
- Clash Win Score determines how many hits it takes for someone to win a Domain Clash (Default 20 hits).
Simple Domains:
This library does have an in-built system for allowing simple domain-like effects. By the extending SimpleDomainEffect class when creating effects you can add something that stops the Domain Effect from being applied to the entity with that effect.
Future Possible Features:
Domain Sound Configs:
Adding options to turn on/off the Domain Themes. (And a seperate option for The Domain Clash Theme)
Destructible Domains:
Adding ways for Domain blocks to be broken. e.g. breaking it with TNT and then slowly regenerating the barrier.
Custom Domain Interiors:
You can't currently add Domain Interiors with block structures on the inside. (Minecraft's structures are really weird and this is unlikely to be added soon)
(None of these are guaranteed to be added to the mod.)
