Netherstorm

Netherstorm rebuilds the Nether as a place worth exploring: ruined fortresses held by
an undead garrison, catacombs buried under the wastes, and a full set of blocks and
equipment to match.

To get started, loot a Piglin Structure and find a map to the Netherite Mines!
Be careful: Netherstorm's enemies are tough, so enchanted diamond gear is expected!

 Creatures
Nether Draugr (sword, axe and bow), Great Nether Draugr, Wither Knights, the Wither
Vanguard, Doom Skulls and their Greater form, the Eye of Doom, Wither Spiders, the
Hungry Souls, and the Overlord that commands them.

Equipment
Ancient tools, armor and the Netherite Ballista — upgraded
from a crossbow with its own smithing template, taking crossbow enchantments plus
Explosive I–III for blast-tipped bolts.

 Structures
-Nether Fortresses rebuilt from the ground up, garrisoned by wither knights and
  doom skulls, with loot worth the fight.
-Nether Catacombs and the netherite mines beneath them.
-Piglin camps scattered across the wastes.
-Explorer maps to chart fortresses, bastions and the mines.

 Building
Over 230 blocks: polished netherrack and nether brick sets, netherite plating and
grates, basalt and obsidian families, lanterns, candles, banners, carpets, wither bone,
ash layers that fall and pile up, quartz clusters and erupting basalt geysers.

Fire reworked
Armor now grants Fire Cushion, which soaks up burning damage before your health
does, changing how fire resistance and flame weapons play. Fully configurable, and it
can be turned off entirely.

 Compatibility
-Goety-summoning focuses, rituals, servant mobs and Black Book entries for every
  Netherstorm creature.
-Jade and JEI support.
-Supplementaries/Amendments — shared blocks and hanging lanterns.
-Plays nicely with Amplified Nether, Better Combat and Cataclysm.

 Versions
Available for Forge 1.20.1 and NeoForge 1.21.1.
