About

Description

NoItemDespawn:

This mod grants the feature of modifying the despawn-cooldown of items laying around on a minecraft server or client.

Besides the fact, that their time on earth (or other planets =D ) is modifiable, everything else works like they were normal items laying around on the ground.

Additionally even if the mod isn't installed anymore, the items won't change their set former despawn-cooldown so they would have to get picked up or deleted via commands if it is infinite.

If the mod is used server-side only the server needs this mod as it is supposed to only function server-side in that case.

While being used cautious the mod cannot cause any harm to your world or server and can be uninstalled without any problems. With infinite despawn-time it might cause lag on some servers or computers.

General usage:

Since the preview-version 1.2.5, the mod contains a special configuration system.

It is really easy to use and actually self-explaining.

After the first run of the mod, a new file should have been created in the root-folder of the game (default is .minecraft) and in the config folder of the game (default is .minecraft/config).

The first config is called "NID-Sideconfig" and contains everything that can be changed concerning this mod.

"Allow-mod" is used to control the features of the mod. If it is set to false the mod is deactivated and won't do anything.

This value is set to false when the mod runs on a client the first time and to true if it runs on a server the first time.

The second config which is called "noitemdespawn.cfg" contains the mod's core settings.

"Despawn-cooldown" operates as the value to control the actual time an item takes to despawn.

This is being calculated in ticks (one second equals 20 ticks).

If the set value is negative, the item won't despawn anytime.

By default this value is set to 6000 which provides a despawn-time of 300 seconds.

The mod only supports the LATEST version of Forge and Thermos! Cauldron or MCPC+ isn't supported due to older Forge versions.
