Description

"Big Dog!" is a Minecraft mod inspired by a well-known meme from the Chinese internet. It brings the humorous essence of the meme into the game, allowing players to raise a pet wolf that grows larger and stronger as it levels up.

Gameplay Guide & Features

1. Getting Started (Taming) To start your journey as a "Big Dog" owner, you first need to tame a wolf in the vanilla way: feed a wild wolf bones until it is tamed and wears a collar.

2. Leveling Up (Feeding) Once the wolf is tamed, you can continue to feed it any food that vanilla wolves normally eat (such as raw/cooked meat, etc.).

  • Important: While feeding the wolf, the player must not be sneaking (see interaction features below).
  • Each successful feed will grant the wolf 1 Level, up to a maximum of Level 6.

3. Stat and Scale Progression As the wolf's level increases, its combat strength and physical size grow permanently. For each level gained:

  • Attack Damage: Increases by +3 (Base wolf damage is 4).
  • Max Health: Increases by +4 (Base health is 8). The wolf is instantly healed to full health upon leveling up.
  • Visual Scale: The wolf's model and physical hitbox grow by 25% per level. At Level 6, it will be massively larger than a normal wolf.

4. Special Interactions

  • Sneak + Right-Click: This action plays a special sound effect ("Don't Bark!") without interfering with the wolf's sitting/standing state. It is a purely fun interaction.
  • Combat Feedback: When the wolf lands an attack, it spawns critical hit particles to visually indicate its enhanced damage.

5. The Legendary Level 6 Event Upon reaching Level 6, the wolf triggers a spectacular "Climax Event". This event includes:

  • A TNT explosion (radius 4.0) centered at the wolf's location.
  • All living entities within an 8-block radius receive 2 seconds of Resistance 255, preventing them from taking damage from the blast.
  • A dramatic title message appears on the owner's screen: "丨///////叫///////丨".
  • An iconic sound effect ("BARK!!!") is played.
  • A custom music disc ("Big Dog Music Disc") is spawned at the wolf's feet as a unique trophy.

6. The Music Disc The disc dropped during the Level 6 event can be played in a jukebox. It contains the meme's original audio, serving as a permanent collectible reward for reaching the max level.
