Origins Remastered

Origin Remastered is a Forge-native remaster of the original Origins experience for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge.

Choose your Origin at the start of the world and change the way you play Minecraft through unique strengths, weaknesses, and playstyle-defining abilities. The goal of this project is not to turn Origins into something completely different, but to bring its core identity into a Forge-friendly remastered form while preserving the feel of the original experience. The original Origins mod is presented as a mod where players choose an Origin at the beginning of the game and gain both benefits and drawbacks, and this project keeps that same core idea at the center.

This remaster focuses on keeping the original gameplay meaning intact while adapting the implementation for Forge. That means cleaner Forge-side behavior, restored gameplay flow, and a stronger emphasis on stability and consistency without losing what makes Origins feel like Origins. The discontinued Origins (Forge) project likewise described feature parity with the original Fabric version as a core goal, and this remaster follows that same spirit while taking its own remastered approach.

Main goals

• Remaster the core Origins experience for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge
• Preserve the original identity and gameplay feel as closely as possible
• Keep Origin selection and ability-driven gameplay at the center
• Improve overall consistency for Forge-side play

The Avian has currently been removed due to implementation limitations. We apologize.

Compatible with Origins: Classes (Forge), but some abilities may not work.

Alternate Origin GUI is not compatible. It is included by default in an improved state.
