❤️ Overcharged Hearts ❤️
Permanent Extra Health for Survival & RPG Packs
Overcharged Hearts introduces a fully new health progression system to Minecraft. Instead of relying on food-based regeneration, players can now unlock permanent extra hearts by gathering rare materials, crafting powerful items, and surviving dangerous encounters.
Designed for hardcore, RPG, Souls-like, and progression-heavy modpacks.
- 🔥 How It Works
- 🩸 Crystallised Heart Shards
Hostile mobs have a small chance to drop a special item: the Crystallised Heart Shard.
Collect enough shards and you can craft an item that permanently increases your maximum Overcharge Capacity.
❤️ Overcharged Hearts
Crafting and consuming an Overcharged Heart gives you +1 HP (half a heart), up to a total of 20 extra HP (10 hearts). These extra hearts appear as a separate absorption bar, but function as permanent HP:
- Regenerate automatically
- No hunger required
- Only regenerate outside of combat
- Lost completely when you die
- Regeneration rate: 1 HP per 100 ticks
- Combat lockout: 15 seconds
This makes the system feel like a blend of
- ✔ Hardcore progression
- ✔ Souls-like health management
- ✔ Permanent character growth
🛡 Mob Drop Chances
🌍 Overworld (hostile mobs only)
- 2% chance
🔥 Nether
- 4% chance
👑 Bosses
- Ender Dragon: 100%
- Wither: 100%
🧱 Mini-Bosses
- Warden: 50%
- Elder Guardian: 50%
🐑 Passive mobs
- Never drop shards
🍏 Golden Apple Adjustment
Golden Apples and Enchanted Golden Apples no longer grant Absorption hearts. Your Overcharged Hearts are now the only source of absorption-style extra HP.
Totems of Undying are unchanged.
⚙️ Compatibility
- Forge 1.20.1
- 100% multiplayer compatible
- No configuration needed
- Works flawlessly in large modpacks
- Minimal footprint, no mixins, no coremods
🧭 Why Overcharged Hearts?
This mod is perfect for players and modpack creators who want:
- ✔ A meaningful permanent progression system
- ✔ Combat-focused survival
- ✔ Souls-like regeneration mechanics
- ✔ High-risk / high-reward gameplay
- ✔ Rewarding exploration and mob hunting
- ✔ Hardcore gameplay with character growth
