Description
Pehkui Continuation
Pehkui Continuation is an unofficial continuation of Pehkui for newer Minecraft/Fabric versions.
This is not an official Virtuoel release.
The goal of this project is to keep Pehkui working on newer Minecraft versions where the original project has not yet been updated.
Supported Versions
Currently supported:
- Minecraft 1.21.11 Fabric beta
More versions may be added as testing continues.
1.21.11 Beta Status
This build is marked as beta because it has had focused local testing, but not broad testing across larger modpacks, public servers, or many Pehkui-dependent mods yet.
The core port is working in local testing, including client launch, world loading, dedicated server startup, basic scaling, hitbox scaling, and config-controlled respawn behavior.
Things Tested So Far
The following has been tested on Minecraft 1.21.11:
- Gradle build completes successfully.
- Client reaches the title screen and loads into a world.
- Singleplayer world creation works.
- Dedicated Fabric server starts with the mod installed.
- Client can join a local dedicated server.
- Two local dev clients can join the same test server.
- Basic
/scalecommand testing works. - Player scaling works visually.
- F3+B hitbox scaling has been checked.
- Respawn scale behavior was tested, including the config option for keeping scales after death.
- Server restart and reconnect behavior was tested with the respawn persistence config enabled.
Still Needs Wider Testing
This build still needs more testing in real-world setups, especially with larger modpacks and mods that depend on Pehkui.
Areas that may still need testing include:
- More entity scaling.
- Crouch and sneak behavior in unusual situations.
- Held-item rendering.
- Nameplate rendering.
- Leash rendering.
- Shulker-specific render behavior.
- Projectile and combat edge cases.
- Relog persistence on normal public servers.
- Compatibility with mods that use Pehkui as a dependency.
- Larger multiplayer/server environments.
Known Notes
This build may still print remap warnings from older compatibility/client mixins during build or development runs. The tested build completes successfully and basic client/server scaling works, but broader compatibility testing is still ongoing.
If you find broken scaling behavior, crashes, visual issues, or compatibility problems with dependent mods, please report them on GitHub with logs and reproduction steps if possible.
Modpack Use
Modpack use is welcome.
Because this is still a beta build, please test carefully before using it in larger packs or public servers.
