About

Description

Your worst enemies, your best workforce.

PillagerControl lets you capture pillagers and turn them into workers - as long as you feed them.

Capture

Brew a Potion of Thrall (Ominous Bottle + red mushroom) and splash it on a pillager: he puts his crossbow away and stops attacking for 10 minutes. Leash him, park him at a fence, walk him home. Find him a job before the effect runs out, or he goes back to his old ways.

Jobs

Place a job block near a pacified pillager and he claims it, outfit and hat included:

  • Farmer (composter) - harvests and replants crops within 4 blocks, stores everything in the nearest chest
  • Beekeeper (decorated pot) - bottles honey and shears honeycombs from nearby hives
  • Fisher (barrel) - needs a fishing rod in his barrel, posts up at the water's edge and fills the barrel with his catches
  • Shopkeeper (Merchant Counter) - with VillagerShop installed, a pillager can run your shop; the counter even gets an exclusive Guard Kit upgrade slot so he defends it with his crossbow
  • Guard (Guard Kit item) - iron armor, unbreakable crossbow, follows you like a wolf, fights what you fight. His kills grant you XP and player loot.

The Mess

Workers eat one cooked meat per game day. Build the 3x3x3 spruce canteen pattern, throw a splash Potion of Thrall at it, and it assembles into the Mess - a 27-slot pantry with a 32-block feeding radius. At dawn, hungry workers walk over, grab a meal and eat it on the spot.

A shaking worker is hungry. Keep the pantry stocked, because...

Revolts

A hungry worker revolts at an unpredictable moment within the next game day. The more hungry workers share a Mess, the sooner it blows up - and one hostile pillager entering the zone triggers a full uprising instantly. Rebels drop their tools, draw their crossbows and remember whose side they were on.

In-game handbook

Craft the Pillager's Handbook (book + red mushroom) - a full Patchouli guide with the multiblock visualizer. English and French included.

Requirements & compat

  • NeoForge 1.21.1
  • Patchouli (required) - powers the in-game handbook
  • VillagerShop (optional) - unlocks the Shopkeeper job and the counter's Guard Kit upgrade
