Polly in my Pocket
Shift right click your pet to pick it up as an item. Right click with that item to place it down again.
All data about the entity will be saved and it will render in your inventory the same as it would in the world (for example, dog collar colour will show on the item). By default it works on dogs, cats and parrots. You can use data packs to allow additional entities to be picked up in this way. Simply add entity types to the tag pollyinmypocket:pickup. Any entities that extend TamableAnimal may only be picked up by their owner.
