Pet Tracker - Fork for 1.20.1

This is an unofficial fork of the original Pet Tracker mod. This version exists to maintain compatibility with newer versions of Minecraft (Forge) as the original developer is no longer active.

📖 About

Never lose your pets again! This mod introduces a specific Tracker Item that monitors the location of your tamed animals. It is designed to be lightweight and compatible with both vanilla and modded pets.

✨ Features

• Independent Tracking: Each tracker item stores its own unique list of pets.
• Name Support: Pets with Nametags will appear in the UI with their custom names.
• Mod Compatibility: Works with most modded pets, provided they extend the vanilla Tameable entity class.
• Teleportation: Instantly bring your pet to your current location (requires the pet to be in a loaded chunk and alive).
• Last Known Location: If a pet is in an unloaded chunk, the tracker displays the last recorded coordinates.

🛠️ Quick Guide

1. Crafting

Craft the Pet Tracker using 1 Stick and 1 Emerald.

2. Adding Pets

Simply Right-Click on any tameable pet with the Tracker in your hand to add them to the list.

3. Managing Pets

Right-Click while holding the Tracker (not looking at a block/entity) to open the GUI.

• Teleport: Teleports the selected mob to you.
  • Note: If the mob is dead or in an unloaded chunk, this button is disabled.
• Remove: Removes the selected mob from the tracker list.
  • Note: Currently, you must remove pets one at a time. To remove multiple, delete one, close the GUI, and reopen it.
