Description

Power Grid Railway Experiments is an unofficial experimental fork of Create: Power Grid for Minecraft 1.20.1.

ALPHA: This project is under active development. Back up your worlds before use. Features vary by file version; the original Alpha 1 does not have working train traction.

The newer experimental build adds AC and DC systems, VVVF programming, converters, semiconductor manufacturing, and early Create railway traction with powered bogeys, pantographs and grounded DC catenary.

Known limitations: Train traction uses an averaged approximation and a gameplay force multiplier. Regenerative electrical braking and detailed PWM harmonics are not modelled. Track power, ATO, multiplayer, unusual networks and addon audio need further testing. Electrical simulation may require 40 substeps and can affect performance.

Do not install alongside the original Power Grid: both use the same mod ID. Install matching versions on client and server. Forge requires Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47, Create 6.0.7–6.0.x and Architectury API 9.2.14 or later.
