Real-Time [Minecraft] Corruption Simulator

or RTMCS for short, is a mod that brings RTCV-style real-time corruption to Minecraft without external memory-corruption tools.

RTMCS does not corrupt raw process memory. Instead, it uses controlled hooks to mutate the Minecraft system. These changes affect how the game operates; they are not visual imitations of corruption.

Because RTMCS doesn't target arbitrary memory, it can push corruption far higher, letting you have fun at levels where external corruptors would crash modern Minecraft.

The simulator is easy to use through an in-game GUI and supports synchronized multiplayer corruption. Server operators can control who can change settings.

World warning: Corruption can cause permanent, irreversible damage to worlds, especially when world generation is affected. Use a disposable world or create a backup first.

Compatibility warning: RTMCS is not compatible with performance mods or shaders. Rendering, world-generation, entity, and interface optimization mods may bypass or conflict with corruption hooks, causing failures or broken behavior.

Corruption And Controls

The simulator controls corruption levels, targets, seed, multiplayer permissions, achievements, HUD behavior, and fun settings such as Client Drift.

The seed determines corruption outcomes and is modifiable and shareable with others. With Client Drift disabled, multiplayer clients generally share the same results. Enabling Client Drift decouples that determinism, giving each player individualized corruption targets.

  • Camera: How the game controls your view.
  • Mobility: How movement through the world works.
  • World Visuals: How the world is drawn around you.
  • Textures: The textures used throughout the game world.
  • Audio: How sounds are chosen and played.
  • GUI: How menus and on-screen interfaces work and look.
  • Entities & Timing: How entities and events behave.
  • Items & Actions: How items and block actions work.
  • Worldgen & Terrain: The rules that shape newly generated terrain.
  • Models: The geometry used to render objects.

RTMCS also includes achievements with progress tracking, pinned HUD displays, and qualification rules. Some require the correct corruption level, targets, and seed from world initialization without changing them during the attempt. Qualification is stored and checked by the server.

Safety, Stability, And Sharing

RTMCS can produce flashing lights, rapid flickering, sudden motion, extreme colors, heavy distortion, and intense visual noise. Do not use it if you are sensitive to flashing or rapidly changing visuals.

Audio corruption has a loudness cap, but some sounds may still be uncomfortable depending on your equipment and volume settings. Lower Minecraft’s volume before enabling high audio corruption.

High corruption can be demanding. GUI corruption, particles, world visuals, and world generation are the most likely sources of frame drops, stuttering, and server load. Because the mod intentionally breaks real systems, undiscovered bugs, crashes, softlocks, and unusual edge cases remain possible.

If you enjoy RTMCS, consider sharing it with friends. Videos and streams should credit M_axsters or Maxsters and link to an official download page so viewers can find the original release.
