What does this mod do?
When two or more mods use the same crafting recipe for different items, Minecraft normally gives you no reliable way to choose which result you want.
This mod fixes that problem by allowing multiple recipes with the same crafting layout to coexist.
When a recipe conflict is detected, you can select the desired crafting result using either:
-
The recipe cycle button.
-
The configurable recipe-cycle key binding.
The crafting interface also displays how many recipes currently conflict with the selected recipe.
Configuration options are available in:
recipehandler.cfg
The mod also attempts to support crafting tables added by other mods through automatic detection. Compatibility with every custom crafting system cannot be guaranteed.
What does this fork fix?
The original mod has two major usability problems that this fork fixes.
Recipe selection is now preserved
Previously, selecting a specific result from a conflicting recipe would not reliably stay selected.
For example, you could select the second item in a conflicting recipe, craft it, and then interact with a normal recipe. The mod could reset the conflicting recipe back to its original result.
This fork preserves the selected recipe result instead of unnecessarily resetting it.
Shift-click crafting now works correctly
The original mod did not properly support shift-clicking conflicting recipe results.
Instead of crafting a full stack when possible, it would process the recipe one item at a time.
This fork adds proper shift-click support so conflicting recipes behave much more like normal Minecraft crafting recipes.
These changes make recipe conflicts considerably less intrusive during normal gameplay while preserving the original mod's recipe-selection system.
