Description

RoundedTab

RoundedTab softens the sharp corners of the vanilla player list (the overlay you see when you hold TAB). No more hard rectangle โ€” just clean, rounded edges that fit modern resource packs and UI mods.

Everything is client-side: install it yourself and it works on any server, vanilla or modded. Nothing is required on the server.

โœจ Features

  • Rounded corners on the TAB player list background.
  • Adjustable corner radius โ€” from subtle (1โ€“2 px) to heavily rounded (up to 12 px).
  • Background opacity โ€” from the default dark panel all the way down to fully transparent (0%), leaving only the player names.
  • One-click toggle โ€” instantly switch back to the vanilla look.
  • Lightweight โ€” a couple of tiny mixins, no performance impact, no Fabric API required.
  • Settings are saved and persist between game sessions.

Settings

โš™๏ธ Configuration

All options live in the Mod Menu config screen (Mods โ†’ RoundedTab โ†’ settings icon):

Option Range Default What it does
Rounding On / Off On Master toggle โ€” off restores the vanilla square tab
Corner radius 0โ€“12 px 6 px How rounded the corners are
Background opacity 0โ€“100 % 50 % Panel transparency; 0 % = fully see-through

Settings are also stored in config/roundedtab.properties if you prefer editing by hand.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Installation

  1. Install Fabric Loader for your Minecraft version.
  2. (Optional) Install Mod Menu to access the in-game settings.
  3. Drop roundedtab-x.x.x.jar into your mods folder.
  4. Launch the game.

RoundedTab does not require Fabric API. Mod Menu is only needed if you want the settings screen โ€” the mod runs fine without it using the config file.

๐Ÿงฉ Compatibility

  • Side: client only โ€” safe on every server, never sent to or required by the server.
  • Loader: Fabric.
  • Works alongside other HUD/UI mods that don't fully replace the vanilla player list.
