📦 Installation

Automatic Method (Recommended)

1. Install Paxi or another global datapack loader
2. Install this datapack through the Modrinth App
3. Launch Minecraft - the datapack will automatically load in all new worlds!

Manual Method

1. Download the datapack .zip file
2. Create a new world → Click "Data Packs"
3. Drag & drop the .zip file into the selection screen
4. Click "Done" → "Create New World"

For Existing Worlds

1. Open your world folder → datapacks/
2. Place the .zip file inside
3. In-game: /reload or restart the world

🎮 How It Works

The datapack monitors your fall distance in real-time:

• ✅ Detects when you're falling from a dangerous height (4+ blocks of air below)
• ✅ Waits 0.5 seconds to ensure you're actually falling
• ✅ Applies Slow Falling effect for 2 seconds
• ✅ Automatically deactivates when you land safely

No configuration needed - just install and play!

Detection System

The datapack uses an intelligent air-block detection system:

• Checks for 4+ blocks of air beneath the player
• Uses a tick-based timer (10 ticks = 0.5s delay)
• Applies Slow Falling V (maximum strength) for guaranteed survival
• Automatically clears effects upon landing

Q: Does this work with armor/enchantments?
A: Yes! The datapack activates before damage calculation, so your armor still matters.

Q: Will I never take fall damage?
A: You'll only be protected from lethal falls. Small falls still cause normal damage.

Q: Does this work in multiplayer?
A: Absolutely! Works perfectly on servers with multiple players.

Q: Can I modify the delay time?
A: Yes! Edit check_fall.mcfunction and change the value in matches 10.. (10 = 0.5s, 20 = 1s, etc.)

Q: Does this prevent intentional falls?
A: The 0.5s delay allows quick falls to still work while protecting accidental dangerous falls.
