About

Dual wither is a very simple mod that spawns the wither boss behind a player when a wither boss is spawned.

How it works

The mod is setup to spawn one wither boss per player nearby the original spawn point. The newly spawned wither will be placed directly behind the player up to 15 blocks away and +-2 blocks in the y level. If a placement can not be found it will not be spawned.

Extra Info

The mod will not spawn on any newly created wither bosses even when the game is reloaded. As well is setup to avoid spawning on withers that existed before the mod was installed. Along with this, code exists to reduce chances of accidental summons from mob spawners. Though is not perfect due to some mods not using the correct event chain for mob spawners.

This mod can also be included server side only and is not required client side to work.

Why?

This was entirely a why not moment caused by a post on twitter. Where a user wanted a wither to spawn behind you when one spawned normally.

Single Block Mod

The Single Block Mod series is dedicated to creating a wide range of simple single purpose mods. Focusing for most on having one block/unit of content refined to offer as many options and choices as possible. This makes many of the mods in the series perfect for filling gaps in modpacks. Allowing pack developers to reduce the need to include larger mods to complete a feature list.
