About
Description
Alchemy after Paracelsus for NeoForge 26.1.2. Every material is made of three principles: Salt, Sulfur and Mercury. Burn matter down to them, then join them again into new things. A few blocks and buckets get you started, and pipes and good ratios pay off for the planner.
The Work
- Calciner: a 3x5 multi-block furnace that burns cobblestone, logs, crops, ores and more into the three principles, all of them real fluids
- Coagulator: joins the principles into Salt Crystals, Quicksilver, gunpowder, redstone, glowstone and more
- Athanor: the alchemist's furnace and the heart of the lab. The blocks you build around it raise its stage from Nigredo through Albedo and Citrinitas to Rubedo, and each stage unlocks new crafts.
No ore generation. Gnomes grow it.
Metals grow in the mountain. Call a gnome into a Gnome Hollow, plant a seed, feed it principles, and it mines its vein forever. Hollows look like plain stone. Only the Elixir of Sight shows the gnomes at work, and the dose makes the poison.
Creatures and secrets
- Befriend a Salamander in the Nether. It gives you Sal Ammoniac and the Ignis Perpetuus, an eternal flame for a fuel-free forge and calciner.
- Raise a Homunculus in the Vas Hermeticum to collect the ore from your Hollows
- Knocking in the rock, trickling dust and lost traces point to what is hidden. Maybe even to Paracelsus' old gnome.
Paracelsus' Journal
Every player gets the journal as a story-driven tech tree. It shows how to build every machine, along with all its recipes.
Requirements
