About

Description

So Superflat biomes are cool and all, but wait, we still don't have access to some of the blocks and items! That's where Sfb Extensions comes in. Sfb Extensions adds new crafting recipes and other creative methods to obtain blocks such as deepslate and its ores and raw ore blocks, and to make blocks such as coral, and calcite renewable. It also adds in rare treasures such as the enchanted golden apple and heart of the sea to spice up your game.

General Features

  • Enchanted Golden Apples use the 1.8 crafting recipe
  • Cocoa Beans can be obtained by fishing in a jungle biome
  • Calcite can be crafted by combining stone and white dye
  • Deepslate is generated when combining water and lava under y = 0
  • Cobweb can be crafted with 5 string arranged as an X
  • Gilded blackstone can be crafted with 5 golden nuggets arranged in an X, surrounded with blackstone
  • Drowned drop heart of the sea when killed by another drowned (Hint: use a trident!)
  • Red sand crafted with sand and red dye
  • Dead bush created by letting saplings dry out over time in a desert biome
  • Guardians turn into elder guardians when struck with lightning
  • Budding amethyst and reinforced deepslate can be moved by pistons, but not silk touchable

Ores

  • Iron / gold ores are crafted by surrounding their raw block counterparts with stone / deepslate
  • Copper ore is crafted by using 4 raw copper blocks and stone / deepslate
  • Nether gold ore is crafted by using 1 raw gold surrounded with netherrack
  • Nether quartz ore is crafted by using 4 quartz and netherrack
  • All other ores are crafted by surrounding their block counterparts with stone / deepslate

Bonemealables

  • Coral fans can be bonemealed into large coral blocks
  • Spore blossoms can be bonemealed similar to 2 tall flowers

Anvil crushing

To crush a block with an anvil, simply drop an anvil onto that block. Crushing certain blocks will create new "crushed" variants of that block

  • Crushing iron / gold / copper blocks creates raw iron / gold / copper
  • Crushing stone creates tuff
  • Crushing a mushroom planted on a grass block creates mycelium

Known bugs

  • Anvils break when converting mushroom & grass block into mycelium

Other info

  • While it is recommended to use this mod with Superflat Biomes, it is not required and the mod will work without it (although you will not have flat terrain)
  • Feel free to include this mod in modpacks

  • Reinforced Deepslate and Budding Amethyst
Reinforced Deepslate and Budding Amethyst To balance out this change, this mod makes it so even though you can't silk touch reinforced deepslate and budding amethyst, you can move them by pistons, allowing for nice accents in your builds if you're willing to put in the work
  • Elder Guardian
Elder Guardian This one's a bit hard to pull off, but if you manage to strike a guardian with lightning, you'll be rewarded with the ferocious Elder Guardian, and a wet sponge upon killing it!
  • Spore Blossoms
Spore Blossoms Spore blossoms have been modified to act like 2 tall flowers when bonemealed, so players can get an easily renewable source of amazing decorations!
  • Gilded Blackstone
Gilded Blackstone Who doesn't love adding some gold accents to spruce up a build? With this new crafting recipe, gilded blackstone is easier than ever to obtain, all you need is 5 gold nuggets!
  • Coral
Coral You'd think if 1.13 was supposed to promote coral reef preservation, Mojang would've made coral blocks renewable! Not to worry, this mod fixes that! Now, you can bonemeal a small coral to get a large one, quickly filling up lakes and oceans
  • Dead Bush
Dead Bush Saplings can't just grow everywhere, they need to be placed in a cool biome to grow into big, healthy trees. That being said, I wouldn't recommend planting your sapling in a desert!
  • Red Sand
Red Sand Red sand is a useful building tool, but can't be found anywhere on a superflat world! But if you can dye wool, concrete, and terracotta red, why cant you do the same with sand?
  • Heart of the Sea
Heart of the Sea This item is pretty rare, and powerful if you use it to make a conduit, so naturally, it's gonna be hard to obtain. To get one, you'll need to trick a Drowned into killing it's fellow ally
  • Cobweb
Cobweb Cobwebs can be great if you're building a farm, or just a spooky building for halloween! Now, getting some is as easy as killing a couple of spiders and crafting it!
  • Calcite
Calcite Who doesn't love the great building block that is Calcite? Well, apparently whoever developed Superflat, that is. Bet they didn't expect someone to just mod in a crafting recipe anyways!
  • General Anvil Crushing
General Anvil Crushing These are some of the other blocks you can get from anvil crushing! You'll want to take notice, cause you'll need them in future recipes!
  • Mycelium
Mycelium Now, you'll wanna do this in a dark area, preferably indoors, but if you let an anvil fall on a mushroom on top of a grass block, it'll convert it to mycelium!
  • Cocoa Beans
Cocoa Beans By fishing in a jungle biome, you have a chance of getting cocoa beans! Fun fact: you can also get bamboo the same way
  • 1.8 Golden Apple Recipe
1.8 Golden Apple Recipe This was added to give a nostalgic feel to this mod, as a throwback to Minecraft's early days
