Description
Sharpening Stools Mod
A standalone Minecraft Fabric mod managed by the PCKR Engine that adds a progressive tier of blocks (Sharpening Stools) to upgrade tool and weapon enchantments normaly and also beyond vanilla limits using netherite ingots.
Features
- Sharpening Stool: Upgrade primary enchantments (Efficiency, Sharpness, Power) up to level 10.
- Greater Sharpening Stool: Upgrade secondary/utility enchantments (Fortune, Looting, Punch, Lure up to level 5, and Unbreaking up to level 10, which then transforms it to Unbreakable).
- Primary-Enchantment Gating: Upgrading secondary/utility enchantments on the Greater Sharpening Stool requires the primary enchantment level (e.g. Efficiency or Sharpness) to be equal to or higher than the target level (capped at 5). E.g. to get Fortune 4, you must have Efficiency 4+ first.
- Dynamic Cost Scaling:
- Upgrades within vanilla limits cost the tool's base material (planks, cobblestone, iron ingots, diamonds, etc.) equal to the target level.
- Upgrades beyond vanilla limits cost Netherite Ingots.
- Fortune 5 (Fortuitous): Costs 16 Netherite Ingots.
- Unbreaking 10 (Unbreakable): Costs 32 Netherite Ingots and makes the tool completely unbreakable.
The post-vanilla upgrades are balanced around the fact that Netherite Ingots are rare, the cost to upgarade is very high, and Unbreakable is either more useful or more convenient than Mending for certain items or players.
