Description
Simple Damage Tint
Minecraft flashes red over anything that takes damage. This mod lets you pick that color yourself, and it can put the flash on armor too, which vanilla skips.
Nothing else changes. It adds no HUD and does not touch how the game plays.
Entity damage color
Four sliders cover red, green, blue and alpha, or you can type a hex code such as #4dff0000. Alpha is included, so you control how strong the flash looks as well as what color it is. The preview swatch sits on a checkerboard, which makes transparency easy to see.
Armor damage tint
Off by default. Turn it on for armor, or for armor and trims. Vanilla leaves armor untinted when something takes a hit, so with this on an armored player flashes like an unarmored one.
Both settings apply as soon as you change them. Leave the config screen open in game and you can watch the tint change on whatever is in front of you.
Notes
- Client side only. It does not change any game rules, so it runs on any server, and the server does not need the mod installed.
- Fabric API is not required.
- The config screen opens through Mod Menu. Without it the mod still runs on its saved settings.
- Settings live in
config/simpledamagetint.json.
