Description

SparkleCore

A shared library mod powering SparkleArts's other Minecraft mods — plus a handful of standalone enchantment tooltip upgrades usable on their own, so you can judge an enchanted item's power and role at a glance without opening a wiki.

⚠️ Early alpha (0.1.0-alpha). Features and APIs described below may still change.

Features

Enchantment Power Score & Tier

Enchanted items get an extra tooltip line showing a numeric Power Score — a weighted total across all of a stack's enchantments (treasure enchantments count extra, curses count negative) — bucketed into a tier:

Tier Power Score Roughly means
Common 0 – 4.9 Baseline / no strong enchantments
Rare 5 – 9.9 A single solid mid-level enchantment, or a couple of low-level ones
Epic 10 – 19.9 Two strong enchantments, or a treasure enchantment plus a secondary one
Legendary 20+ Multiple high-level and/or treasure enchantments stacked together

Works correctly on Enchanted Books too, not just tools and armor.

Configurable via sparklecore-client.toml:

  • Enable Power Score (power_score_tooltip) — toggle the tooltip line entirely.
  • Power Score Display Mode (power_score_display_mode) — 0 = only while holding Shift, 1 = always shown, 2 = only with Advanced Tooltips (F3+H) enabled.

Enchantment Categories

Every enchantment is classified into a category, shown as a small colored badge on its tooltip line:

Category Symbol Color
⚔ Offense Red
🛡 Defense 🛡 Blue
⭐ Utility Yellow
🚫 Curse Dark Red
🏃 Mobility Green

Single-enchantment Enchanted Books also get a full category readout on their tooltip.

Compatibility

  • Supports Enchantment Descriptions — SparkleCore detects its tooltip lines and works around them instead of overlapping.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 26.1.2
  • NeoForge 26.1.2.71 or newer
  • Required if you're using another SparkleArts mod that lists it as a dependency; otherwise optional — install it on its own for the tooltip features above.

Coming Soon

  • A full wiki
  • Javadocs for the developer-facing API
