About

Description

Abdera is an inter-dimensional scientific institute that studies the Fabric of Reality. This mod includes a few of their special devices.

To begin, you'll need Gold, Iron, and a Book. With two Gold and one Iron you can make Reinforced Golden Shafts, these are the sticks of the mod. You'll then need to take four those Shafts and a Gold Ingot and craft the Abdera Insignia. Then, you take the Insignia and a Book and craft the Fabrical Science Text Book, with this in your inventory you'll be able to read the obfuscated text on all of the items, tools, and blocks in this mod.

Now, you can begin looking for Inanium, the mod's most versatile resource. You'll find it from level 50 downwards; but, if you spot it, don't get too excited. You will need a Diamond Pickaxe in order to harvest the ore.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to do much with Inanium at first. You will, however, be able to craft an Inanium Pickaxe (which is as good as a Diamond Pickaxe, just slower and with more durability), Inanium Axe, Inanium Shovel, Inanium Hoe, the Inanium Bow and its respective arrows (a harder hit bow and arrow set), and the Inanium Hazmat Boots and Helmet. In order to craft the remaining Hazmat Suit pieces you'll need Verus Stars, and to get those you'll need the ASTRRLAP Processor. However, a simple Crafting Table can't make a proper Processor. Maybe there's a way to fix it outside of a Crafting Table. ;)

The ASTRRLAP Processor is a special crafting machine that behaves like a Furnace, except it has three input slots. With it you'll be able to make Verus Stars, Void Steel Ingots, Stable Verus Shards, Verus Radiation Orbs, and Exposed Realitaic Fabrics (aka. Exposures).

Verus Stars: Simply put and Inanium Ingot in any input slot on one side and a Diamond in any slot on the opposing side. You cannot directly make anything with Verus Stars using a Crafting Table other than Verus Cores. These are then used in making the Inanium Sword, Verus Rod, the remaining Hazmat Suit pieces, and a few other things.

Void Steel Ingots: Put an Iron Ingot into two of the input slots and a Gold Ingot into the remaining input slot. Smelt one and you'll find that they're just a faster and slightly cheaper way of obtaining Inanium Ingots. However, there might be something else you can make from them. :P

Stable Verus Shards: Put a Verus Radiation Orb, a Verus Core, and a Nether Star into any input slot. This is a source of infinite Verus Stars. Shove it into Farmland and the crystals will slowly grow, no water required.

Verus Radiation Orbs: Put an Ender Pearl, a Verus Star, and a Verus Core into any input slot. Throw this in any direction and wherever it lands will explode and be struck by lightning. It is also used in crafting Verus Rods, as well as being processed into Stable Verus Shards and Exposures.

Exposed Realitaic Fabrics: Put an Inanium Ingot, a Verus Radiation Orb, and a single piece of Black Wool into any input slot. This is used to make a Folding Core, an important item used in making the Abdera Science Exo-Suit.

Now is the perfect time to talk about the mobs. First off, the Abdera Science Exo-Suit: This is a massive mech that you can ride around in; but first, you gotta craft it. You'll need two Exo-Suit Arms, two Exo-Suit Legs, the Exo-Suit Body, and a Folding Core. While riding it, you can use the Firing Button (a special craftable item for the mech) to launch an endless barrage of Inanium Arrows.

The Gaze: The boss of the mod. He comes with a variety of attacks and will drop a special item. You might accidentally summon him trying to do something else. ;)

Defects: These mobs are very dangerous, they behave like Blazes except for the fact that they can tunnel to get to you if necessary. They drop Iron Ingots and occasionally Redstone Dust and/or Inanium Ingots. They spawn within the Convergence Point Biome, a horrible, dark place filled with some of the worst entities in the game.

This is essentially my first ever mod. It was made as a part of a Youth Digital course, so they made the entity models; but, the textures are all mine.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy my mod, I hope to add more things to it in the future.

See you when that happens. Have a blessed day. <><
