KEYBINDS

• B: open body upgrade GUI
• I: open extra inventory (unlocked with back upgrades)

OVERVIEW

ENCHANTMENT

New enchantment: Body boost

• Goes up to level III
• Makes you train your body faster
• Each enchanted weapon/ armor piece boosts a specific body part:
  • helmet -> head
  • chestplate -> back
  • leggings and boots -> legs
  • sword -> arms
• You can obtain enchanted books with the Body boost enchantment by looting jungle temple or desert pyramid loot chests
• The enchantment can also be found on randomly enchanted gear in loot chests and should be sold from librarian villagers. The enchanting table is a good source for the enchantment too.

POTION

Yes, there is also a new potion, the potion of Body boost:

• Gives you the Body boosted effect for 3 minutes when consumed
• Has a long (8 minutes) and an amplified variant (90 seconds, but stronger effect)
• Can be found in jungle temple or desert pyramid loot chests
• It is not obtainable by brewing

New effect: Body boosted

• Makes you train all of your body parts faster (similar to the enchantment, but for all body parts and a little stronger (because the effect stays only for a few minutes after drinking the potion)

HEAD

How to upgrade:

• Gain experience

Upgrades:

• Bonus experience: Gain more experience when mining blocks or killing enemies
• Trading boost: Cheaper prices when trading with villagers
• Attack speed: You can attack faster

ARMS

How to upgrade:

• Hit mobs

Upgrades:

• Bonus reach: You can attack, mine and place blocks further away
• Attack damage: When you attack with weapons or even with your fist, you deal additional damage
• Attack knockback: Your attacks push enemies further back

LEGS

How to upgrade:

• Jump

Upgrades:

• Jump height: You can jump higher and climb 2 blocks with 1 jump
• Walking speed: You can walk a lot faster, works also with sprinting
• Swimming speed: You can travel faster across the seas, you'll never craft a boat again

BACK

How to upgrade:

• Heal after you got hurt

Upgrades:

• Extra Inventory: You can solve Minecraft's inventory problem by just upgrading this (keybind for the inventory is I)
• Knockback resistance: Make the hits of Hoglins or Iron Golems weaker by reducing the knockback dealt
• Damage resistance: Ever wished being better protected than with a netherite armor? With a netherite armor and this upgrade you'll be protected the best

INTERNAL ORGANS

How to upgrade:

• Eat food

Note: Eating better food like steak or golden carrot does not help your internal organs more than other food, so dried kelp will benefit you most ;)

Upgrades:

• Bonus health: You have a bigger health bar with up to five hearts more
• Saturation: Whenever you wake up and a new Minecraft day starts, your hunger bar is filled by a small amount
• Luck: You can find more treasures in loot chests

CONFIGURATION

How to access the configuration file:

• Open the Instance folder of the modpack (user home folder/curseforge/minecraft/Instances/modpack name)
• Open the config folder and edit the the_body_boosts_config.toml file

What you can change with the config file:

• How fast you can train specific body parts
• How powerful specific boosts are

COMMAND

The /body command syntax:

/body <target>

• body_xp <body_part> set <value> <upgrade_points/body_xp>

Sets the body xp or the upgrade points of a specific body part or all body parts to a specific value

• max out [<body_part>]

Sets the body xp as well as all upgrades to the maximum for a specific part of the body or the whole body

• reset [<body_part>]

Sets the body xp as well as all upgrades to the minimum for a specific part of the body or the whole body

• upgrades <upgrade_type> set value <value>

Sets the level of a specific upgrade type or all upgrade types to a specific value

UPDATE INFORMATION

If you find any issues or have questions, write it in the comments and we'll answer as soon as possible.

If you think some upgrades are too weak or too strong, let us know in the comments and we´ll release balance changes if we agree.

This mod won´t be released on any version prior to 1.16 or on fabric, as some game mechanics we used are not available in these versions.
