Description

The Great Ring of Oceanus Mod

Minecraft Version: 1.20.1, Forge Version: 47.4.0

Summary

The goal of this mod is to introduce deep-sea concepts like water pressure to Minecraft players, offering a new sense of adventure and a unique experience that can only be found in this mod.

Key Features

New Concept: Water Pressure

Upon entering the water, a new status effect consisting of damage and blindness is applied below a certain depth.

New gear is required to protect against these effects.

The depth at which water pressure damage is received, and the amount of damage taken, changes depending on the type and quantity of equipment worn.

New Dimension: Deep Ocean

A dimension composed entirely of ocean, with no landmasses.

A portal can be crafted to enter this dimension.

You can return to the Overworld by surfacing on the ocean's surface.

Beds cannot be used in this dimension.

New Biome: Abyssal Forest

A biome located within the new dimension.

It features Marine Oak trees and allows for the collection of a new ore called Aquamarine.

New friendly mobs, Anglerfish, spawn here.

New Structure: Underwater Village

A village located in the new dimension.

You can trade with the villagers of the Underwater Village.

Sea taro can be collected from the farms.

Modified Structure: Ocean Monument

A dungeon located in the new dimension.

It contains treasure chests with valuable items.

New hostile mobs, Yellow and Red Guardians, spawn here.

The new boss mob, Oceanus, also spawns here.

Various New Items and Blocks

Luminous Coral Blocks can be crafted from the glowing scales dropped by Anglerfish and used as a light source.

A new profession block for the underwater villagers, the Marine Transmuter, can be used to create items like Transmuted Sea Taro.

Defeating Oceanus drops the Ring of Oceanus, which grants levitation when equipped in the off-hand.
