About TickAccelerate
TickAccelerate is a server-side mod designed to enhance the gameplay experience on servers suffering from low TPS (Ticks Per Second). When server performance drops, this mod intelligently accelerates various in-game mechanics to simulate the feel of a smooth, 20 TPS environment, effectively reducing perceived lag for players.
This version introduces significant stability and robustness improvements, featuring a completely refactored configuration system, enhanced in-game commands, and full internationalization support (i18n). Key algorithm upgrades include a smoother MSPT calculation using an Exponential Moving Average (EMA) and a crucial safety cap (tick-repeat-cap) to prevent "lag spirals" under heavy load.
Accelerated Mechanics:
- Block Entities (furnaces, chests)
- Block breaking
- Potion effects
- Fluid flow (water & lava)
- Item pickup delay
- Using food and potions
- Portal travel & sleeping
- Time progression
- Drawing bows and crossbows
- Random ticks (e.g., crop growth)
All features are fully configurable.
