CosmeticsLite (NeoForge 1.21.1)

CosmeticsLite brings lightweight, server-friendly cosmetic customization to Minecraft without adding gameplay advantages or unnecessary complexity. Designed for NeoForge 1.21.1, this version focuses on stability, performance, and clean integration into multiplayer environments.

Features

  • Pets
    Visual companion entities that follow the player across dimensions and sessions.
  • Hats
    A variety of wearable cosmetic head items with full multiplayer visibility.
  • Capes
    Custom cape designs rendered in real-time and visible to other players.
  • Particle Effects
    Lightweight particle visuals that enhance player presence without impacting performance.
  • Persistent Menu System
    The menu remembers your last selected tab and cosmetic choices between sessions.
  • Cross-Dimension Support
    Equipped cosmetics remain active when traveling between dimensions.

  • Command Access
    Open the cosmetics menu at any time using:

     
    /cosmetics
     

Permissions (Server-Side Control)

CosmeticsLite includes full support for permission-based access using LuckPerms or compatible permission systems.

Permission nodes:

Example usage:

  • Supporter → Hats, Particles
  • Explorer → Hats, Particles, Capes
  • Adventurer → Full access

Operators (OP) have full access by default.

Design Goals

  • Keep cosmetics purely visual (no gameplay advantage)
  • Maintain low overhead for servers
  • Provide clean UI and intuitive navigation
  • Ensure multiplayer consistency and synchronization

Notes

  • This is a NeoForge rewrite of CosmeticsLite for Minecraft 1.21.1
  • Some legacy systems (such as mini-games and Particle Lab) were intentionally removed to keep the mod focused and maintainable
  • Built with multiplayer servers in mind, but fully usable in singleplayer
