About
Description
Ion Tree Fall is a lightweight tree-felling mod built for clean, predictable harvesting. Instead of half-working on modded trees or breaking everything in a wide radius, Ion Tree Fall is designed to be smart and controlled: break the bottom log and it fells the connected trunk, while only clearing leaves that are actually tied to that tree. The result is faster wood gathering without turning forests into accidental clear-cuts.
Ion Tree Fall works with vanilla and most modded trees that use standard log/leaves blocks. If another mod also edits tree breaking, physics, or leaf behavior, you may encounter conflicts—please report them so I can patch compatibility. In modpacks, it’s best to run only one tree-felling feature at a time to avoid double-triggers.
Configuration Options (planned/optional)
- Require an axe to trigger tree felling (or allow any tool)
- Durability cost per log broken
- Maximum logs per break (safety cap)
- Leaf handling rules (connected-only, decay assist, none)
- Manual allowlist/denylist for supported logs/leaves
- Optional “natural tree only” checks to prevent structure abuse
Compatibility / Supported Content
- Vanilla trees
- Most modded trees using standard log + leaves patterns (including worldgen tree mods)
- Works well in modpacks when duplicate tree-felling features are disabled
