Description

This mod depends on FutureMC and Aether Legacy! These must be installed, otherwise the game will crash! For FutureMC, use Forgelin-Continuous!

* Highly recommended for use with Modern Beta Forge

Have you ever felt that Mojang had gone off track with Minecraft's development? Have you ever wondered what Minecraft might have been like if Microsoft hadn't bought it? If you've landed on this mod's page, your answer is most likely ‘yes’.

True Adventure is a comprehensive mod that showcases an alternative path for the game’s development - one that might have been possible had the developers at Mojang not made some rather controversial decisions that undermined the game’s atmosphere and simplicity.

The mod fixes certain balance and visual issues, expands progression, and reimagines the Nether and even the Aether.

Among the content added by the mod:
1. A complete reimagining of the health system. There’s no hunger now, food heals the player directly but has a lower stack size. The eating animation has been retained, as has the option to adjust the amount of healing provided by food and the stack size in the config;
2. No running in survival mode. Why would you need to rush anywhere at all? That’s what horses, artifacts, and potions are for. This tweak can be disabled in the config;
3. The old bow-shooting mechanics, just like in the beta versions. This tweak can be disabled in the config;
4. The Human mob - inspired by the Humans mod, but with numerous fixes;
5. New visuals for villagers, illagers and the iron golem – their models have been replaced with player models, and the golem has a more logical one;
6. A whole host of new blocks: ores, wood, stone, material blocks and loads of decorative blocks for your building projects!
7. Loads of new armor sets, weapons and tools! As well as new types of weapons and tools, such as the trident, healing staff and more!
8. Redesigned bundles! Who’s actually happy with the bundles from the new versions? Certainly not me!
9. Backport of raw ores, but with a more appropriate visual style;
10. Wearing 4 pieces of any armor protects against damage from cactus and bushes from FutureMC;
11. Tilling the ground has a small chance of yielding seeds, just like in the beta! This tweak can be disabled in the config;
12. Rebalancing of vanilla items. Stone can no longer harvest iron - you need copper for that. Gold armor is now better than chainmail, and gold tools are now practically on a par with iron ones. This tweak can be disabled in the config;
13. Lots of new structures: from custom caves and dungeons to new villages!
14. Lots of new flora for the Overworld, the Nether and the Aether: ranging from ordinary flowers to new trees;
15. A complete reimagining of the Nether Update! No piglins, hoglins or any biomes from the newer versions! Mobs and biomes have been added to match the spirit of the old Minecraft;
16. Global update for the Aether! 4 new biomes, new mobs, loads of new items and accessories, as well as a rebalance of some crafting recipes;
17. Complete loot rebalance! For both vanilla and Aether loot. Works with mods that add their own loot to these loot tables;
18. New paintings;
19. Visual changes: this mod replaces many vanilla and some mod textures to give the game a more pleasant overall atmosphere;
20. And lots of new mobs designed to enhance the atmosphere and make survival more interesting;
21. Wither model overhaul. Replaces vanilla Wither boss model with Herobrine-like one. Can be disabled in the config;

Mod support:

This mod has built-in support for the following mods:
1. Nether API;
2. JEI/HEI;
3. Overloaded Armour Bar;
4. Armour Toughness Bar;

List of used textures/ideas:

  1. Staff, trident and coin textures from Varied Commodities;
  2. Nether reed idea from Better Nether:
  3. Cobblestone texture from Reindev;
  4. Base for Rogue, Snowy and Nether dungeons from Quark;
  5. Frog villagers was inspired by Ribbits;
  6. Evil snowman mob inspired BTA;
  7. Human mob logic was taken from Human;
  8. Quiver logic based on The Lost Quiver;
  9. Logic for Nether biomes and structures was based on Netherized Kedition;
  10. Some beta-like tweaks was inspired by Beta Days;
  11. Skeleton-warrior was taken from Primitive Mobs;
  12. Trees generation logic based on Natura Legacy;

Додатково до описаного вище, мод виправляє український переклад Aether Legacy та додає переклад до лору і багатьох не перекладених предметів/мобів. Додатково додає переклад для FutureMC. І так, цей мод зроблено в Україні :)

Q&A:

1. Can you add 'item name' to the mod?
Only if It fit with beta style;

2. Can you port this mod to the 'insert number' version?
No, this mod will only be on 1.12.2;

3. I like your mod, can I use it in my modpack?
Sure, if your modpack is published on CurseForge, you are free to use it. If your modpack is published elsewhere, use the File Director to configure the mod installation;

4. Can you add an option to disable texture/repice and loot tables replacement?
I can, but don't want, sorry;

5. I want to replace the mod textures, how do I do that?
Via resource pack or Resource Loader;

6. Why does a mod that shows an alternative branch of Minecraft’s development depend on FutureMC?
Because some features from the newer versions fit perfectly with the aesthetic of the game’s beta versions, and there’s no point in creating your own interpretation of these features from scratch when there’s already a ready-made, well-known mod that people will prefer, given that FutureMC can be finely tuned to suit individual preferences and is compatible with CraftTweaker;
