Vaskars Bestiary

Vaskars Bestiary adds original boss fights to Minecraft — fully custom models, animation and arenas, not reskinned mobs.

Skarrn

A lightning-scarred elk guarding its own burnt clearing in the woods. Three phases, a boss bar, its own music, and attacks telegraphed enough that you can actually read them coming instead of guessing.

Kill it and it leaves the Lightning Antler — point and fire a pair of lightning spears at anything you're looking at.

The bestiary

A book that fills itself in as you run into creatures — seen them is enough, you don't have to kill them. Works with creatures from other mods too, if a data pack adds them.

More bosses are on the way. Each one gets its own fight, not a reskin of the last.

Compatibility

Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge. Pairs with Vaskars Remains: install both and Skarrn's burnt clearing turns up with bodies in it.
