Watcher's Forge

This mod is intended for use in a private Minecraft server.

Watcher's Forge adds several new high-grade ores and gemstones for usage in smithing, as well as unique weapon varients to spice up late-game equipment. Furthermore, it includes some special quality-of-life features and recipes that use these new resources.

General Features:

New Weapons:

• Shortsword 
  • In comparison to Swords: 
    • Shorter reach and less damage
    • Faster swing speed
• Longsword
  • In comparison to Swords:
    • Longer reach and more damage
    • Shorter swing speed
• Spears
  • Basically a backport of vanilla Spears
    • Very long reach
    • Slow swing speed
• Staves
  • Walking sticks with fancy names
    • Slow swing speed
    • Low damage
    • Potentially a hidden purpose?

New Ores:

• Ferrous
  • Ore tier between Stone and Iron
    • Used to craft Smithing Templates for weapon variants
    • Also a vital material for crafting components
• Mithral
  • Rare smithing material found in deep caves
    • Used to craft Legendary weapons and weapon variants
    • Can also be forged into detailed embelishments for weapons and armor

New Gemstones:

• Azurite
  • Semi-precious gem used to detail weapons and armor
    • Often used as a centerstone for staves
    • Makes a great gift when cut!
• Adamantine
  • Relatively rare crystal, popular for its mineral-like properties
    • Used in high-tier weapons and armor as an accent gem
    • Can be combined with Mithral to forge a Rare Alloy
    • Popular for its color!
• Ceristone
  • Highly sought after for its magical properties
    • Used to craft Staff Cores to enchant staves

New Enchantments:

• Blessed
  • Used on Armor 
    • Has a chance to revive the wearer on death
    • Adds shiny particles to the armor piece!
• Purified
  • Used on Weapons
    • Deals extra damage to Undead mobs and Arthopods
• Thundering
  • Used on Weapons
    • Chance to strike targets with lightning on hit

Additions:

• Weapon varients can be crafted using new Smithing Templates
• Special banner patterns unlocked through rare trades
• New music discs and the ability to print existing music discs
• The ability to cut gemstones, both vanilla and those added by the mod, using a Stonecutter
