WeatherControl is a small but highly polished Forge mod that is centered around players being able to control time and weather using XP and end-game machines and items. No more having to force everyone to sleep, asking a mod to /clear the weather, or just cheating that in yourself. The crafting recipes are worthy and adventure driven, but not overly tedious, making them fit in perfectly with other tech-driven mods and seasoned worlds.

The core machines are the Rainmaker and Dreamweaver. Their textures change as they sense the worlds time and weather and they emit comparator data and Redstone power during usage

Handheld (Mini) versions which have cooldowns can also be crafted, and charge inside their block counterparts if the right conditions are met

Sneak-right clicking a mini will display the current game time or weather

Every machine has beautifully designed gui, sound and animation elements

There are new enchantments, paintings and music discs that complement the mod as well

Dream Disc - Acquired after killing an Enderman at night during a full moon

Rain Disc - Acquired after killing an Elder Guardian during a storm

Cooldown, usage notification and XP requirements are data-driven and can be configured in real-time. As soon as you save your changes, the mod will recognize them without a need to restart or reload the game

HGsCIZ0.pngConsider installing Patchouli to gain in-game guidance. Please note, without it, you will not receive the WEATHERPEDIA book

Consider installing Just Enough Items so you can see in game recipes as well

Consider installing Enchantment Descriptions as our enchantment books support it

🌎

To use with Patchouli or JEI, you simply need to have the mods installed in the /mods folder. WeatherControl will automatically detect them and give players the WEATHERPEDIA upon joining your server, and list all recipes as well.

Versions 1.18 and 1.18.1 are not tested much

I am planning on releasing 1.19 versions

This mod is for FORGE only, and there are no plans to port over to anything else

Both server and client need this mod if using on multiplayer

To install and use with Forge, drop this mod into the /mods folder

To configure, edit weathercontrol.json in the /config folder after an initial run

All assets, sounds, animations and textures were created with Fiverr, Photoshop, Audacity, and online sources such as YouTube and ArtStation. Photos seen here were on my private server and taken with Optifine + ComplementaryShaders_v4.5 shaders.
