Description

ZeresClient

Client verification, anti-cheat intelligence, and Cobblemon event bridge for Fabric 1.21.1.

ZeresClient is a Fabric mod — for the client — that enforces mod authentication during the Minecraft Configuration Phase and optionally integrates with Cobblemon to fire server-side quest events.

How It Works

When a player connects, the server sends a challenge before they enter the world. The client mod responds with its version and a list of all installed mods. If the version doesn't match, the player is kicked immediately. If a blacklisted mod appears in their list, staff are alerted.

No reflection. No bytecode manipulation. Communication uses Fabric API Custom Payloads exclusively.

Anti-Cheat Detection

All violations are alert-only — ZeresClient never kicks or bans players automatically. Every flag is sent to online staff members with the appropriate permission node so they can investigate before taking action.

XRay Suspicious ore-mining behavior
Mod Blacklist Banned mods reported during the handshake

All thresholds are configurable per-detection in config/zeresclient-server.json.

Cobblemon Integration (Optional)

When Cobblemon ≥ 1.7.3 is installed alongside ZeresClient, additional event listeners are registered automatically for the ZeresPokeQuests system. Each event executes a console command that your quest plugin can respond to.

PvP battles are never reported as trainer defeats.
If Cobblemon is not installed, all listeners are silently disabled at startup with a log message.
