⚔️ Modpack Overview ⚔️
Minecraft's main issue resides within its lack of progression, with the game being 'beatable' in just under 7 minutes (as per the current random seed world record). Attainment attempts to improve upon this issue, implementing various mods and mechanics which make the game more challenging.
💡How Attainment achieves progression
- All in-game dimensions are locked behind Game Stages, and can be accessed when the player completes corresponding quests. These quests may require you to slay a certain number of mobs or acquire a specific achievement.
- All mid-to-late game items (such as weapons, tools, armor and curio) are locked behind skill requirements. These are implemented through a mod called Reskillable, which creates new skills that the player can upgrade using experience points. Many overpowered items have very extensive skill requirements, and as such will not be accessible until the player has dedicated sufficient time into grinding experience throughout their journey.
- A large selection of hostile mobs will grow stronger and gain more health the further away from spawn that the player travels, ensuring the game remains challenging as the player delves further into their world.
- Many bosses from the mods of Terramity, Bosses of Mass Destruction and Meet Your Fight have received considerable HP and Damage increases through configuration
- Both the Wither and Ender Dragon have an all-new look, and are far more challenging than in the vanilla game.
- Some quests have money requirements, with this money coming from the new SDM system. Players can sell an array of crops, fish and other produce for an in-game currency. This can then be used in the shop to buy items which may aid them in their journey, or even traded amongst friends for a functional economy. This forces players to focus on aspects of the game other than grinding dungeons and fighting monsters.
Obviously, these implementations are not perfect and may be avoided or bypassed through bugs and cheesing. If you find some sort of loophole, just enjoy it and play the game however you'd like.
Attainment still requires a lot of polishing and optimization so expect many updates in the future.
(ONLY REQUIRED FOR 1.0.1 AND 1.0) Mod From The Fog may have missing textures and requires a manually-installed resource pack (sorry its not on curseforge) which can be installed from github here
