About

Description

The entire world was turned to Dust. You are the sole survivor. Extract resources out of the Dust, build an automated factory, and try to restore as much of the old world as you can. And while you're at it, maybe try to figure out what happened to the world.

(Dustin' Dustry is still in development, but you can play the first two chapters in a short(-ish) demo.)

Resource Generation

  • Almost every resource in the game is made by processing Dust and transmuting it into ores.
  • The complexity of processing chains depends on the rarity of the resulting ores. You only need to grind the Dust to get Iron or Copper, but you'll have to wash, dry, explode, compress, reconstruct, empower, melt and cool it to get Gold or Aluminum.
  • Not only is Dust infinite, you can also build a Sweeper multiblock that automatically generates it for you.

Ore Processing

  • Just like Dust processing, turning ores into ingots is a multi-step process, with the amount of steps depending on the ore's tier.
  • Many steps involve secondary byproducts, which need to be dealt with. These aren't just waste items to be thrown into lava, but useful resources, which can be turned into things you can't get anywhere else.
  • Of course, it wouldn't be a tech modpack without ore doubling. Every ore can be turned into 4 ingots, but extracting all that material isn't always easy.

Industry and Automation

  • Technology in this modpack is split into five tiers, centered around Thermal Expansion.
  • Every tier has its own set of custom materials which need to be automated, and serve as ingredients for the next tier.
  • Manage your items with Applied Energistics 2, or build custom Modular Machines for more advanced crafting recipes.

Esoteric Nonsense

  • While Dustin' Dustry is mostly a tech modpack, you will also need to dabble in magic and alchemy.
  • Extract Liquid Sentience to power your computers, make Holy Water to exorcise evil, or trap ghosts in a book to turn them into Ecoplastic.
