This modpack is made with the fabric mod loader, because of the major gain in performance the mod loader has over Forge. Fabric has major important performance boosting mods like sodium and also fast loading times (compared to forge).

This modpack that I've made is focused both on good looks and new content. The modpack includes multiple performance boosting mods, and mods to enhance the looks and sounds with everything from new blocks and biomes to shaders and resource packs. The modpack also includes a few tech mods with electric and steampowered machines, magic mods with transmutation and spells, and exploration mods with new bosses and dimensions, to add new content to the game and spice up the experience of playing minecraft. 

Datapacks are also included in the modpack for preventing enderman grief, and changing a wide variety of recipes in the game. Modifications has been made to make some mods slightly harder to balance the gameplay.
Other than that every mod takes its own path, and if anything is unclear as what changes were made and how you're supposed to move on within a mod the advancements are most likely altered. Just be carefull around mobs.
