About

Description

Have you ever wanted to delve really, really deeply into everything Botania has to offer? If so, this pack may be for you!

Floramancer is a modpack designed to be a Botania expert pack. Everything you do in this pack will be centered around Botania, with just a few other content mods, such as Quark, to flesh out the experience.

The goal of the pack is to fully automate every generating flower in Botania. You will need to do this even though all generating flora suffer passive decay in this pack.

Use the resulting mana to craft a Galactic Potato, which will grant you the secrets of the Creative Mana Tablet and Everlasting Guilty Pool!

By far the biggest change to ordinary Botania progression is the mechanic of flower decay. All generating flora will decay after one real world hour, just as the Hydroangeas does in base Botania. This means you will need to set up systems to automatically craft every flower, including all of its components, as well as ensure each flower is used as efficiently as possible before it decays.

As you progress, the game will keep track of how much mana you have produced using each flower. Once you've produced enough mana using one kind of flower, you will earn an advancement for that flower, as well as a physical trophy. When you've completed the requirements for all thirteen flowers, you will unlock the recipes for the Creative Mana Tablet and Everlasting Guilty Pool!

Floramancer fully supports a skyblock experience using Garden of Glass! There are even a few tweaks to make the early Garden of Glass experience a little bit easier:

A custom orechid, the Orechid Terram, will allow you to acquire mycelium, and therefore mushrooms, before entering the Nether. This means you no longer need to go to the Nether before crafting a Rod of the Lands

Building a Nether portal normally requires spawning over a dozen blazes through the use of Fel Pumpkins. In Floramancer, punching blazes to death produces a lot more blaze powder, so you can get to the Nether after spawning far fewer of them.

Botania Add-ons

  • Incorporeal adds many new and interesting ways of interfacing with your Corporea system
  • Morechids adds a few custom Orechid Variants
  • Botania Tweaks offers many small QOL additions

Automation Tweaks

  • The Dandelifeon and Shulk Me Not now require pixie dust and ender air in place of a (non-automatable) gaia spirit
  • Lava in the Nether is infinite below y = 32 (The level of the lava lakes), allowing for the full automation of the Thermalilly
  • Fortune ores now drop experience orbs even when not broken by a player, which can be used to power the Rosa Arcana
  • Most hostile mobs, including the Wither, drop experience orbs even when not killed by a player, which can be used to power the Rosa Arcana

Recipe Tweaks

  • Some generating flora have been tweaked to use different runes, to better balance the distribution of runes over recipes
  • Second and third tier runes have been tweaked slightly to require more varied ingredients, mostly decorative blocks that there was previously no other reason to automate
  • The mana cost of the tiny potato is lowered so that the total mana cost of the Galactic Potato is just under that of two Rank SS Terra Shatterers

World Gen

  • The default world type uses Quark's realistic terrain generation, combined with Traverse for some additional interesting biomes
  • Worley's Caves makes for some new and interesting underground exploration
  • Recurrent Complex is used to add some structures to the world. If you go exploring, you might be able to find creeper spawners in the overworld and enderman spawners in The End!
  • Several mods add interesting, non-invasive fauna to the world

This is a relatively lightweight pack. It contains 130 mods, most of which are small. You will need to allocate a minimum of 3 GB to Minecraft to run this pack. This can be reduced to 2 GB if Smooth Font is disabled.
