Description
Familiarize with GregTech: Community Edition Unofficial before playing. This is not a beginner-friendly modpack!
GregTech: Supra - Transcendent stems from the idea of not wanting "just another GTCEu modpack". Many recipes and processing lines were completely overhauled, such as Polybenzimidazole, Polyvinyl Butyral or Stem Cells; whereas others have had alterations to make the chemistry and recipes more consistent. In general, the progression is stricter and harder, though it is not arbitrary. This modpack is inspired by real life synthesis processes, rather than being extended purely by fantasy (at least before UHV).
On top of that, many custom materials and alloys have been added, such as Nylon, Inconel-718, Nitinol or materials even as obscure as Eternalium.
During your playthrough, you can pick between playing on Garden of Glass, Superflat, or the normal Overworld. Portals to the Nether are disabled and there is no way to get to the End, however, recipes to circumvent that do exist.
Gregtech is the spotlight of the game, progressing through various tiers of technology. From the Steam age, then Low Voltage (LV) to Overpowered Voltage (OpV). Gregtech alone is boring, so multiple additional mods have been added, such as:
- Ex Nihilo Creatio adds a sieve from which you obtain resources
- Thermal Expansion featuring new technology helpful throught your playthrough
- Flux Networks which allows you to transfer energy for your machines wirelessly
- Solar Flux Reborn allowing you to make very powerful Solar Panels for easy power generation
- Simple Storage Network adds a simple Digital Storage System
- Refined Storage albeit unlocked in the later stages of the game, allows very easy automation
- more to be added
Naturally, no Gregtech modpack would be complete without a guide of some sorts. FTB Quests serves just for that. With a detailed and throughly-developed questbook which documents your every step. If you ever feel lost while playing, just consult the questbook.
This is an Expert modpack, which means the progression is strict and the recipes are very diffcult. The final goal is to get the Creative Quantum Chest which grants infinite items. Many custom items, custom machines and custom processings lines will accompany you on your journey.
This modpack is finished until ZPM, but theoretically playable until UHV. Plans are to extended it to OpV and beyond.
If, while playing the game, you encounter any bugs, please do not hesitate to report them, and I will gladly fix them.
