Description
I made this due to inspiration of the show Adventure Time!
[ If you would like to see the list of mods, hit the "relations" tab. ]
There are no leveling systems, no stats systems, no enemy health scaling, no tech (other than tom's simple storage), and no real grind. The design of this pack revolves around smaller content mods, so don't expect things like Ice and Fire or Cataclysm. (They are nice mods though but would alter the fundementals of this pack)
Everything is mostly based on the concepts of minecraft itself and of course, adventuring!
There is quite a bit of custom tweaks going on behind the scenes of this pack. Most noteably the KubeJS scripts. I've setup various swords and gear to be apart of the chest loot, all with their own weights as well (basically a rarity system). A lot of recipes have been removed as well, since the point is to explore and adventure to obtain most of these items. However, some gear and weapons are still craftable. (basic minecraft gear is still craftable of course)
This modpack also uses QuestLog (top left button in the inventory), which will help and guide you through the pack. There are few key changes that effect the progression of each chapter. I've created sort-of like a campaign basically.
Small Note: I did not add quests for everything related to certain mods, It only gives a portion of those mods. So that way you can discover new things in the world naturally.
In terms of mechanics, the changes are light but noticable. A lot of the mechanics are explained within the QuestLog. Some modded mechanics have been intentionally disabled as well. There are also a few mechanics not listed within QuestLog. Some of which pertain to the progression of chapters.
Performance: Overall it's pretty good, though there may be some micro-stutters or possible lag depending on location or unintentional factors. Also this pack is not designed with shaders in mind, It's meant to be played without them. So add iris and shaders at your own risk.
RAM: Atleast 8GB - 9GB allocated.
Multiplayer: I've tested the Essential Mod with a friend and it seems to work!
However, dedicated servers will not work because the "Roaring" mod has client side portions that are always enabled. Also, the essential mod might not work from other launchers with this modpack, outside of curseforge (like Prism Launcher).
Essential is now included in the modpack btw.
Since this was heavily inspired by Adventure Time, A lot of the world building itself is mostly attuned to the world of adventure time.
You can find:
Ruined Cities.
Toxic Waste.
Massive Bunkers.
Wizard Towers.
Various Dungeons.
Enchanting Biomes.
Megalith Towers.
Terrifying Bosses.
Weird and wacky creatures and enemies.
Generally all kinds of Structures, Civilizations, And much more....
A couple things to note:
The balance has not been fully tested, there could be ways of becoming overpowered. However, for the most part it seems balanced and can be quite difficult for some of the bosses and enemies you may encounter.
The quests should all be working but if something seems broken with a quest, let me know and I will try to fix it. I will also be fixing anything as I play the pack myself. And I may add-to or revise the quests later on!
[ The end-goal of this modpack is to defeat The Roaring Knight! ]
Side Note: The "JADE" part of the modpacks name was chosen because of the gem, it's colors can represent quite a lot of things from adventure time, especially The Lich.
