LatroX's Xtreme - Tech ReForging

ReForging illustrated hero artwork

A technology-first sandbox with rewarding food, flexible quests, exploration and magic.

Overview

Start with a small workshop and grow it into an automated base. ReForging brings together modern machines, digital storage, productive farms, rewarding cooking, magical discoveries and a world full of creatures to meet. There is room for a compact home, a sprawling industrial complex, or a little of everything.

Choose your own projects and your own pace. Follow the quest paths when you want direction, switch between technologies, or set your own goals. The quests offer guidance and rewards without locking normal crafting behind chapter completion.

Build production lines that support your adventures, grow ingredients for meals worth cooking, and bring your favourite systems together. The optional ReForging Core gives long-term projects a shared destination while leaving plenty to do afterwards.

Technology

Take production from your first powered machines to interconnected factories with Mekanism, Oritech, Ender IO and Energized Power. Work through power generation, resource processing, item transport and automation, then expand the parts of your factory you enjoy most.

  • Storage and autocrafting: build around Applied Energistics 2 or Refined Storage, with extensions for wireless access, crafting and connected production.
  • Underwater engineering: explore NauTec 2's lasers, bacterial cultivation, bioreactors and submarines.
  • Farming meets industry: use Agritech and Agritech: Evolved to develop agricultural automation. Mystical Agriculture and Productive Bees offer different routes to renewable resources.
  • More ways to produce: explore Replication and Essence & Industry as further branches of your growing production network.

The Journal breaks larger systems into manageable steps, helping you move from a useful starter setup toward the equipment needed for bigger projects.

Food & Farming

Make the kitchen part of your progression. Farmer's Delight, Croptopia, Bakeries and Sushi Go Crafting bring crops, ingredients and meals to experiment with, from everyday farm produce to more elaborate dishes.

Good food pays off in three different ways:

  • Quality Food: higher-quality food restores more hunger and saturation.
  • Dynamic Nutrition: a balanced diet provides beneficial effects.
  • Spice of Life: Carrot Edition: discovering and eating qualifying new foods works toward extra hearts.

Grow a varied garden, improve your ingredients, and keep a selection of meals ready for building and exploring. Animal and pet mods also give your home residents to care for beyond its machines.

Magic

Occultism, Thaumaturge, Forbidden & Arcanus and Hextale offer magical paths alongside the industrial ones. Explore rituals, research and magical crafting, or experiment with Hextale's essence handling and crystal-powered machinery.

The Arcane route gives these pursuits a place in the wider quest journey. Use the pack Handbook to find the relevant starting points, then turn to each mod's own guide for its deeper mechanics.

Exploration

Leave the workshop to investigate structures, explore oceans and meet the creatures added by the pack's wildlife and companion mods. Nature Workshop, Araxer's Bestiary and Arcadia Pets help give exploration and life around your base their own rewards.

Bring a spyglass and use Field Guide to discover plants and creatures, collect entries and revisit what you have discovered. It gives curious explorers a record of what they have found.

For a larger expedition, work toward Stellaris space travel. Its Handbook entries and quest path help connect preparations on the ground with journeys beyond the Overworld.

Getting Started

Your Handbook and Journal

Receive the custom English ReForging Handbook on your first login. It introduces the pack with item previews, recipes, useful controls and direct links to relevant quest chapters. Quest pages can take you back to the Handbook when you need an explanation.

For detailed mod instructions, the Handbook points you to the original mod guides. Keep supported guides together in the Eccentric Tome. EMI recipe browsing, a radial menu and keybind guidance help you find the actions you need while playing.

Optional goals, useful rewards

The Ember's Questing Journal contains 334 quests across 40 chapters, with practical routes through technology, storage, food, magic and exploration. Learn the important steps between a mod's first machines and its advanced systems. Follow a branch to its milestone, pin quests you want to track, then choose your next project.

Earn ReForging Coins and spend them in the Journal's separate Shop tab. Item previews show what you are buying, with choices including travel tools, useful upgrades, meals, pets and collectibles. Your personal wallet lets you save for something you actually want.

The ReForging Core

Looking for a major project to bring your base together? Work toward the Power, Automation, Life, Arcane, Culinary and Expedition matrices, then assemble the ReForging Core. Alternative recipes let different systems contribute: choose AE2 or Refined Storage for Automation, bees or crops for Life, and different energy systems for Power.

The Core is an achievement, not an ending. Continue into Beyond the Core goals, expand your factory, complete your collections, or build something entirely new. The sandbox remains yours.

Original mods, the ReForging compatibility companion and third-party adaptations retain their respective licenses and included notices. The pack project license applies only to original pack-authored material where no separate license is stated.
